Learn how to connect your Cloudbeds property with Conecta PUI to automate PUI compliance reporting for hotels in Mexico.
What is Conecta PUI?
Conecta PUI is a compliance platform that helps hotels in Mexico meet government requirements related to the Plataforma Única de Identidad (PUI). The PUI requires all hospitality establishments in Mexico to report guest data to the government as part of a national missing persons identification system.
Conecta PUI automates this entire process by syncing guest data directly from Cloudbeds, eliminating the need for manual reporting or custom API development.

How to sign up for Conecta PUI

Go to the registration page
Visit conectapui.com/auth/register.

Enter your institution details
Provide your institution name, RFC (Mexican tax ID), contact name, email, and a secure password.

Verify your email
Check your inbox for a 6-digit verification code and enter it on the confirmation screen.

Log in
You're all set. Log in to your Conecta PUI dashboard and proceed to connect Cloudbeds.
No credit card required. The annual subscription ($6,500 MXN + IVA) is not charged until your PUI connection is successfully confirmed by the Mexican government.
How to connect Conecta PUI with Cloudbeds for the first time
Prerequisites: An active Conecta PUI account and an active Cloudbeds account with at least one property.

Navigate to Load Data
In the Conecta PUI dashboard, click Cargar datos (Load Data) in the left sidebar.

Select Automatic Update
Click the Actualización automática (Automatic Update) tab.

Choose Cloudbeds
Select Cloudbeds from the integrations grid.

Authorize the connection
Click Conectar Cloudbeds. You'll be redirected to Cloudbeds to log in and authorize access. Review the permissions and click Allow.

Confirmation
You'll be redirected back to Conecta PUI with a success confirmation. Your guest data will begin syncing automatically.
After connecting
- All existing guests are imported from your Cloudbeds property (initial sync).
- Guests with a valid CURP are automatically added to your compliance registry.
- Guests without a CURP are placed in a pending queue for manual review.
- Future check-ins are synced in real time via webhooks.
What does the integration do?

Conecta PUI uses read-only access. It never modifies any data in your Cloudbeds account.
How to disconnect
From Conecta PUI
- Log in to your Conecta PUI dashboard.
- Navigate to Cargar datos → Actualización automática → Cloudbeds.
- Click the disconnect icon (plug icon) next to your connection status.
- Confirm the disconnection.
This removes all stored OAuth tokens from Conecta PUI. No further data will be synced.
From Cloudbeds
- Log in to your Cloudbeds account.
- Go to your Marketplace connected apps.
- Find Conecta PUI in the list.
- Click Disconnect or Revoke Access.

Note: Previously synced guest records remain in your Conecta PUI compliance registry after disconnecting (they are not deleted, as they may be required for regulatory audits). You can reconnect at any time.
Limitations
- CURP required for PUI reporting: Only guests with a valid 18-character CURP can be reported to the PUI. Foreign guests without a CURP are tracked in the pending queue but are not reported.
- Read-only integration: Conecta PUI does not write data back to Cloudbeds.
- One property per connection: Each Cloudbeds property must be connected individually. Multi-property managers can connect each property from the same Conecta PUI account.
- Mexican regulation only: The PUI compliance requirement applies exclusively to establishments operating in Mexico.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need technical knowledge to set up the integration?
No. The connection is done through a standard OAuth flow — click a button, authorize, and you're connected. No APIs to build, no code to write.
How long does the initial sync take?
It depends on the number of guests in your Cloudbeds property. Most properties sync within a few minutes. Large properties (10,000+ guests) may take up to 15 minutes.
Does the integration affect my Cloudbeds workflow?
No. Conecta PUI uses read-only access. Your daily operations in Cloudbeds continue unchanged.
Is it compliant with Mexican regulations?
Yes. Conecta PUI complies with the Lineamientos DOF 27/11/2025, the PUI Technical Manual v1.0 (13/01/2026), and Article 12 Bis of the LGMDFP. All encryption, authentication, and audit logging meet government-specified standards.
What happens if a guest doesn't have a CURP?
They appear in the "pending" queue in your dashboard. You can manually enter their CURP or skip them if they are foreign nationals without a Mexican ID.
How much does it cost?
The annual subscription is $6,500 MXN + IVA. You are not charged until your PUI connection is confirmed by the government. No credit card required to get started.
